The World’s First Ever Zombie Poker Run on Motorcycles

WHAT IS A ZOMBIE POKER RUN

Its like a Zombie Run which others have done in the past on foot where the Zombies chase you. This is our own rendition where you leave on your motorcycle or in your vehicle and go to where the Zombies actually are and all to support Denise House Oshawa and Distress Centre Durham.

DETAILS

All online participants must show up onsite at Durham Harley Davidson between 9am to 11am to finalize their registration process for the Poker Run and obtain their map of the 6 locations they choose to go to.

Tickets can be purchased online and onsite after July 31st but at the full price of $30.00.

Tickets to participate in the Poker Run are sold based on Rider and Passenger. Your tickets must be purchased separately based on your standing. Same ticket purchase requirements for those participating in a car.

Earlybird tickets available online only for $25.00 until July 31st 11:59 both for the Poker Run as well as the After Party

This is a rain or shine event.

There are no refunds or exchanges and your ticket is non transferrable.

Poker run participants or teams will be leaving at 11am to get what you need to survive at the 6 locations we give you the map for and be back by 5pm, play your cards and see who our winners are for all our announced contests and all for an opportunity to win some pretty amazing prizes!!

Just want to be a part of the After Party? Yes you have a chance to win some amazing prizes by raising money for your chosen charity, just incase you would like to go that extra mile and being such an awesome human with our thanks and the charities we are supporting.

Each participant of the Poker Run or After Party has a choice to create a Team, join a Team or just register themselves within the link we send you to raise money for your chosen charity.

Prizes will be awarded for Top Pledge Earner, Top Pledge Earner within a Team, and Top Team (maximum 10 per Team).

Prizes will also rewarded for the best Team name and to one lucky Participant and Team that has given it their best to pull of our theme Malice in Wonderland Zombie Style. Winners for this will be decided by other participants as a People’s Choice Award!!!!! Disclaimer: to be entitled to win any of these prizes you must have raised at least $100.00 for the charity you have chosen to raise pledges for.

As a registrant of Malice In Wonderland Poker First Ever Zombie Poker Run you will be asked what charity you will be raising money for so that we can send you your link to start raising pledges by signing up as a participant and/or creating a Team so please choose the proper ticket for the charity of your choice.

The two charities you will have a choice to raise money for are The Denise House in Oshawa or Distress Centre Durham. Both need funding and both have a similar cause. Making women’s lives safer and better. All proceeds you raise are tax deductible and you will receive your charitable donation receipt after the event as will your donors.

We ask that you at least try to raise $100.00 as this is our main form of raising money for these two organizations as well as other contests, 50/50 draws and raffles at the After Party.

Don’t ride no worries, cars are welcomed for this ride. Whether in be on two wheels or riding in four we’re all fighting to help make change and support those in our communities that need it.

6 predetermined locations to acquire what you need to survive (Collector Poker Chips) and get past the flesh eating zombies. You pick which you go to first. A virtual map will be given to you the day of at Durham Harley Davidson where you must finish the final process of your registration and hand in your fundraising pledge amounts so that we can announce the winners at the completion of your run.

You are given 6 locations as a bonus card when you get back, so if you miss one no worries as you need only 5 to play your hand.

Prizes will be awarded also for top and crappiest hands!!!

Poker Hands can be bought onsite for those who can not participate in the Poker Run or your luck just completely sucks and you want to try again. Money raised gets split between the two charities.

You will retrieve a collector poker chip at these locations. When you arrive at any of these locations you get off your Motorcycle or out of your car you will be given a red strand of fabric which you will stick to your persons and walk into Zombie Quarantine area where yes the flesh eating zombies will be. You must retrieve your poker chip which is one element into surviving your Zombie Apocalypse. Example: Food, water, clothing, arsenal, medicine, and shelter which you keep and we will give you a card for each chip collected when you return. If the zombie takes your red strand of fabric game, the zombie has now eaten your brains, game over at that location and you now walk away and go to the next location. This is the safest practice so no one is physically touching you and you are not harming the zombies.

ZOMBIES ARE PEOPLE TO

*****Where your motorcycle, or vehicle is parked is a safe zone. No zombies can go into this area as they are restricted to there own area where you retrieve your poker chip.

Didn’t get 5 poker chips? Zombies got in your way? Zombies took your red strand and ate your brains. No worries. Extra cards can be purchased onsite and this money goes to the two charities and divided equally.

This is a go at your own pace event which is one of many great things about this event.

A couple of the locations will have food and refreshments available.

Collector poker chips and other collectable items be available onsite. It took a lot to get our kickass images and they are worth keeping and collecting.

Get back to home base by 5pm to play your hand and join in on our epic after party!!!

The theme for this event is Malice In Wonderland which is Zombie style Alice in Wonderland. “Living Dead Girl”.

This event was created to bring attention to Women that have been abused and with some if not all women in these situations suffer from PTSD and other forms of mental illness for the rest of their lives and raise money as there is an always ongoing lack of funding and mental health programs directly related to this, with the number of cases almost doubling in relation to Pre COVID to Post COVID.

With over a decade in the game and a lifetime of musical knowledge, her sets will take you down a rabbit hole of sonic pleasure.

DJ Waves has been a resident DJ for Live Nation’s Budweiser Stage since 2014, where she provides pre + post show dance parties for summer concerts. She is the official DJ of the Toronto Marlies hockey team (Toronto Maple Leaf’s AHL affiliate) and resident DJ for the Lemmon Stage – a discovery series based out of Toronto’s legendary venue The Rivoli. Waves has worked with a variety of clients including NKPR, House of Vans, and has spent the past 3 years spinning at multiple properties owned by The Drake Hotel. She was voted one of the Top 2 DJs in Toronto by NOWMAGAZINE’s Readers’ Choice 2021 and is the most sought-after vinyl DJ in the city.

As of the spring of 2022, Waves has expanded into the United States music scene. As part of the roster for VIP Nation, she provides VIP DJ sets for global tours such as Red Hot Chili Peppers Unlimited Love Tour 2022, and The Weekend’s After Hours Til Dawn tour.
